OBSTACLE 1: WALL STREET

Scale up and down a 2.6m high container.


Your task:
  1. Get up and over the container with the help of a 3ft high step board in the front for your ascent, and a 4ft high step board for your descent.
  2. If you are unsuccessful in your first attempt, you are required to make another attempt at the RETRY queue. If you fail in your re-attempt, 5 minutes will be added to your final timing as a penalty, and you will be allowed to continue on with the course.

OBSTACLE 2: BARRIERS TO ENTRY

Leap and duck across 11 rows of alternating road barricades.


Your task:
  1. Hop over 6 sets of 1m high water barricades, and duck under 5 sets of 0.7m high pole barricades.
  2. The water and pole barricades will be arranged in alternate rows.

OBSTACLE 3: QUANTUM LEAP

Hoist yourself over 5 sets of 1.3m high horizontal beams.


Your task:
  1. Using your upper body strength, hoist yourself over the 5 sets of horizontal beams, which are 1.3m high.
  2. If you are unsuccessful in your first attempt, you are required to make another attempt at the RETRY queue. If you fail in your re-attempt, 5 minutes will be added to your final timing as a penalty, and you will be allowed to continue on with the course.

OBSTACLE 4: MONKEY BUSINESS

Swing across 4 monkey bars – the 'wrong' way.


Your task:
  1. Make your way across the width (instead of the length) of 4 monkey bars, and get to the end of the obstacle without letting your feet touch the ground.
  2. If you are unsuccessful in your first attempt, you are required to make another attempt at the RETRY queue. If you fail in your re-attempt, 5 minutes will be added to your final timing as a penalty, and you will be allowed to continue on with the course.

 


OBSTACLE 5: FRAME WORKS

Dodge and climb your way through a scaffolding structure.

Your task:

  1. Dodge, duck, slide, climb, crawl and manoeuvre your way around metal bars and wooden planks.

OBSTACLE 6: THE NETWORK

Climb up and down a 3.2m high 3-ton truck using a rope web.


Your task:
  1. Get on all fours to climb up the rope web.
  2. When you get to the top of the truck, turn around and descend the rope web on the other side feet first.
  3. Avoid getting your limbs trapped in the net as it will slow down your progress.

OBSTACLE 7: CORPORATE LADDER

Ascend and descend long flights of steps.


Your task:
  1. Run up and down four flights of steps (over 400 steps in all) at the viewing gallery of The Float @ Marina Bay.
  2. If you encounter participants in the right lane (aka the "fast lane") who are moving at a slower pace, please call out, "On your right." All participants are required to move to the left when they hear this.

OBSTACLE 8: TYRED OUT

Scramble up and down a hill of tyres.


Your task:
  1. Make your way up and down a 1.8m hill of tyres.
  2. Tread carefully amongst the loose tyres underfoot, and watch out for gaping holes.

OBSTACLE 9: DOWN & DIRTY

Conquer a water hole and a mud pit near the end point.


Your task:
  1. Climb over the 1.5m wall of a tank and find yourself in waist-high water. Splash your way through the length of the tank, and climb over to the adjoining tank of mud.
  2. Wade through the knee-high mud and climb out of this mess.
  3. Do keep your footwear on throughout this obstacle for safety reasons. (Best not to wear spanking new shoes!)
  4. Finish your race in a blaze of glory!
